Sarees For A Great Cause

Save the Saree

Fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee who is known for his Indian wear and for dressing Vidya Balan and Sridevi in their movies, has picked up cudgels on behalf of the sari. In a new initiative, Save the Sari,  he’s launched sarees starting as low as Rs. 1,800-3,000 ($31-52). The aim is to popularize the sari and save the livelihoods of weavers.

In other word, one can own a Sabyasachi and help weavers at the same time.  I think that's one fantastic deal and no one loses out!  And if the saree don't wow you then take a look at the tins.
